Classes

Our school includes 84 children divided into 4 classes ranging from preschool to CM2 2 sites :

Pre-school

• Class 1: TPS and PS for 2.5 to 3-year-olds (Pre-K)
• Class 2: MS for 4- and 5-year-olds (Pre-K)

Primary school

• Class 3: GS and CP for 5- to 7-year olds (Kindergarten and First Grade)
• Class 4: CE1/CE2 for 7- to 9-year-olds (First and Second Grades)

Middle School

• 6è : 10-years old to 11-year-olds
• 5è : 11-years old to 12-year-olds
• 4è : 13-years old to 14-year-olds

Most of our classes are mixed-age and we choose to do this for pedagogical reasons. This allows the children to progress at their own pace. They are able to advance with the older children on subjects they’ve already mastered, while also having the flexibility to deepen their understanding of other concepts they have not yet understood. The mixed-age classroom also naturally develops cooperation. During workshops, the children are split up into groups according to their age-group and level.

Recess takes place every day at the Parc des Buttes Chaumont. The children play outside each morning and most classes also go out two afternoons per week
